Metatags are important
for search engines point of view.
Metatags boosts your
ranking a little when they are used properly.Remember metatags
only cannot keep you in top position.Still they will do their
job.

1.Always keep your
metatags in 'Head' part of the html.The
metatags should be in single line from '<' to '>'.
2.Always put "quotes"
around Description and Keywords attributes.
3.Limit your keywords
to 1000 characters.Seperate them with commas, no spaces(spaces
counted as characters)
4.Don't repeat
keywords more than 7 times.
